Breeding

The white fish is an oviparous fish that spawns during the months of March, April and May. White fish spawn when they are 20 to 30 cm long.

The love game begins on bright mornings when three or four males chase the female close to spawning. This egg is very resistant to mechanical traction. It can be kept alive out of water for hours, just by providing a humid atmosphere.
